Greg and Laurie Meet Reptile Rex

Yesterday Greg and I met up with a group of folks at a campground for "Camping Light." My idea of camping light was wearing a t-shirt with a camping motif. We stopped by to say hello, then we left before it got dark. Baby steps (for me). Greg shipped all his camping stuff with the hope that I might actually do it. We'll see.

Anyway, one of the visitors to the campsite was a local legend, Reptile Rex, who runs the Alice Springs Reptile Centre. Rex brought a couple of his friends from Reptile Centre. Greg made some new friends, and so did I.

Greg hung out with Thomas around his neck for a while. Rex wanted us all to feel Frank's skin - 'just like a pocketbook.'

    I don't know about camping, Laurie. Those critters might come pay a visit in the night. You already have to contend with a toad and a lizard, and that's INSIDE the house!

      Right Sheila??? I'll have to get some sort of a contraption that is hermetically sealed, but I can still breathe.
