Exploring Alice - Todd Mall

The Todd Mall is an outdoor shopping and restaurant area in the heart of Alice. Every other Sunday there is an open air market. Generally, shops in Alice close at 5:30 p.m. and are not open on Sundays. We went to the market the second Sunday after we got here and went to breakfast at an outdoor cafe last Sunday after church and our little excursion up Anzac Hill.

They were playing "Take me out to the ballgame!"

Sausage!

All the restaurants here provide bottles of water and glasses for you to take to your table. Wish U.S. restaurants would do this. My brekkie: homemade granola with yogurt, honey and berries. Yum.

Quite a few quirky outdoor cafes like this one. All have good coffee (flat white is my choice).

Note the camel burger on the menu. And the prices! It's expensive here. The Aussie dollar is a bit stronger than the U.S. dollar.

Drinking a "flat white" - an espresso served with steamed milk. Very little foam. Just like I like it.

Greg's big Aussie brekkie. That's Aussie style bacon on top. More like ham.

  1. Love the Blog! It will be on my follow list. Looking forward to more posts. You might want to post a mundane thing like the temperature or some such other stuff to help "set the mood".
